IN THE BEGINNING...
- 1973 -
Jean-Paul and Brigitte Roland leave the city of Provins, near Paris, to live in the Médoc, in the north of Bordeaux, near the sea. Jean-Paul spent his childhood with his grand-parents amongst the vineyards of Burgundy.
Within the EARL (entreprise) Les Granges de Civrac, he operates vineyards in Médoc AOC and produces the Château Les Granges de Civrac, Cru Bourgeois.
- 1998 -
The wine estate grows with a new place for vinification : the castle Beyzac. This is an amazing XVIIIth century estate which needs a lot of renovation !
The outbuildings of the castle are gradually being restored. Three separated vatrooms are built inside.
- 2012 -
As the estate expands, the eldest daughter, Aude Roland, starts to manage the wine property.
She is graduate from the faculty of oenology and from the agricultural engineer school of Bordeaux.
- 2016 -
Smart and brilliant, Aude Roland manages the wine property and is engaged in environnemental issues.
She develops an integrated viticulture to reduce pesticides and chemicals treatment.
In 2019 she just obtained the HVE (High Value Environnemental), the highest environnemental certification in France.
